CodeGreen Tools, the free field app · Last updated: 24 August 2026
This policy covers CodeGreen Tools, the free calculators, code reference, and NICET practice app published by Code-Green ITM LLC. If you are looking for the privacy policy for the paid CodeGreen ITM inspection platform instead, that page is here — the two apps do not share data, an account, or a backend.
The short version: this app does not collect personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server it talks to besides an anonymous check for content updates. Everything you enter into a calculator stays on your device.
Every calculator, the code reference, and the common violations browser run entirely on your device. Numbers you enter, your NICET practice answers, and your best scores are saved locally in the app's own storage on your phone, the same way a note-taking app keeps notes on your device. None of it is sent anywhere, and we have no way to see it, back it up, or recover it if you delete the app.
The app periodically checks for content updates — new NICET questions, corrected figures, updated code references — through Expo's update service (expo.dev), the platform this app is built on. That check exchanges the app's version and which content it already has; it does not include anything you typed into a calculator or an exam.
Because nothing leaves your device, deleting the app deletes everything it stored — your saved scores and any calculator history — immediately and completely. There is no account to separately request deletion of.
This app is a trade reference for fire alarm and life safety technicians. It is not directed at children, and since it collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect any from a child either.
If what the app collects ever changes, this page will change first, and the “Last updated” date at the top will move.
