Why I built it

The big platforms weren't built for a shop like yours.

I went looking for something to get me off paperwork. Instead I got quoted like a national chain and handed workflows that had nothing to do with the building I was standing in.

Priced out

Enterprise pricing and minimum seat licenses that only make sense at 20+ users, never for a one or two person operation.

Integrations that break

Force two systems to "talk," and the day one developer changes their code without telling the other, you're stuck troubleshooting why your own data won't save. I've watched it happen. Sometimes keeping things separate is the smarter move.

Questions that don't apply

Why is it asking about an HVAC shutdown on a building with no HVAC? My wizard only asks about what's actually on the property.

My story

It's just me, and that's the whole point.

Twenty years in the field and a NICET Level IV in fire alarm taught me exactly what a report needs and exactly what a technician doesn't have time for.

"I got tired of small shops being priced out, and still getting asked about systems that aren't even on the property."

So I built the wizard I always wanted: set the job up once, answer only what applies, clear deficiencies before you leave, and walk away with a comprehensive, code-compliant report. Every convenience in here came from a real day on a real job. Mine.

Where it's headed

Focused now. Not limited.

My expertise is fire alarm, so that's where CodeGreen started, built right, by someone who does the work. But the platform isn't capped there. As it grows, I'll bring on developers and specialists to expand into other life-safety disciplines like sprinkler and suppression, each one built by an expert who actually inspects it, the same way I built the fire alarm side.
