Enter the panel once, stop retyping it

Build the fire alarm control unit once and the branch circuit comes with it: supply voltage, AC current draw, overcurrent protection type, and where the disconnect actually is. Pick the model and the AC draw fills in from the equipment library, so you are not stood at the panel hunting a spec sheet.

Your authorities having jurisdiction work the same way. Add one and it is in your list for good, matched to the property by city, so the right AHJ is already there when you set the next job up.

Devices addressed, by floor, with one tap for the ones that passed

Initiating devices, notification appliances and interface devices each get their own tab, listed by address and floor. Mark All Pass handles the ones that behaved. A device that failed gets written up where you are standing, with a severity, a before photo, and an after photo once it is fixed — so the correction is on the report rather than in a notebook.

Walk test procedure, programming notes and technical notes sit on screen at the panel. Supervising station signals are logged with receipt times. Auxiliary functions cover HVAC shutdown and elevator recall, phase one and phase two.

The report is finished before you get in the truck

A pre-signature checklist confirms the system is back to normal, covers are secured, and the panel time and date are right. The customer signs on the phone, the report generates on the phone, and if you did more than one discipline at that property you get a combined report as well.

Make, model and part numbers stay internal. They never appear on a customer report.

Common questions

Does it work with no signal?

Yes. Inspections, photos and signatures are held on the device and sync when service returns. Every tap lands locally rather than waiting on a server, so it keeps pace in a basement riser room with no bars at all.

Do I have to take photos?

No. Photos are optional everywhere — before and after. They are encouraged, not enforced.

What does it run on?

iPhone, iPad and Android for the field. The back office runs in any browser. There is no company tablet to buy and no per-handset licence.

Is there a device-by-device record?

Yes, and a summarized tally if that is all you need. One button switches between a full device-by-device record and a clean summary.
